How Covid-19 spreads
Person-to-person spread—Being in close contact (within about 1.5m.) with an infected person or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The droplets can land on a person’s mouth or nose, or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. This is thought to be the main mode of transmission.
Contact with infected surfaces/objects—Touching a surface that has the virus on it and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.
